The Children and I set off for another walk into the woods today. On the other side is a lovely valley with beautiful meadows in which I chanced upon this couple... I feel I was interrupting them...
I have no idea what these bugs are (Ruth? Ricky? can you help?) but they were certainly having fun! The 2 pics below are not part of my 365, I was just hoping that someone (again might the 2 R's assist??) would know what these Moths/Butterfly were called? They were so colourful, especially the 1st one, I have never seen anything like it. The 1st moth is also not a great photo as the youngest was in a carrier on my back, wriggling and pulling a bit at my hair while I was taking it! ;) |

Thanks to Ruth for the following ID of pics #2, #3;
"The butterfly on picture #2, if I'm not wrong, is Zygaena trifolii - Five-spot Burnet (Zygaenidae family). It's a vespertine moth. And the butterfly on picture #3 is Thymelicus sylvestris - Small Skipper. I'm not sure 100% because this butterfly of Hesperiidae family has some cousins very similar!" |

the 1# is a Solder Beetle (Cantharis cryptica) The moths i'll leave to ruth :) I'm good about other bugs, but moths and butterflies make me lazy to ID :) (maybe because i've a friend (ruth) that is the best in IDing them! haha)
